Avdiivka may repeat the fate of Bakhmut because the Russians are determined to advance despite their losses.
This is according to military analyst Julian Repke from BILD.
In his opinion, Russia’s initial plan was to bypass the city from the west, capturing the villages of Severne, Stepove, and Berdychi and encircling it. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to stop the Russians at Severne and along the railway line in Stepove.
According to Repke’s assessment, Russia launched an attack with columns of more than 100 pieces of military equipment, with more than 60 tanks and armored personnel carriers lost and over 200 soldiers killed.
It’s worth noting that, as reported by the Ukrainian General Staff, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled over 100 Russian army attacks on the Avdiivka direction in a week.
