October 16, 2023The communal enterprise “Main Information and Computing Center” of the Kiev City State Administration has announced a tender for the modernization of the “Pet Registry.” The estimated cost of this project is around 5 million hryvnias (approximately 130,600 euros).
This information is available on the “Prozorro” system.
The Pet Registry was launched in 2019. It was created to allow pet owners in the capital city to enter data about their cats and dogs independently. This involves receiving tokens with QR codes containing information about the animal and the owner’s contact details.
According to the developers of the Pet Registry, this system increases the chances of recovering a lost pet by registering it in this database.
However, as of October 2023, there were only 15 advertisements in the “Found Animals” section and just one advertisement in the “Lost Animals” section.
In the meantime, starting from 2018, IT specialists from the Kiev City State Administration have conducted two tenders with costs of 0.2 million hryvnias (approximately 5,225 euros) and 1.8 million hryvnias (over 47,000 euros), respectively.
An additional 5 million hryvnias are planned to be invested in the development of the Pet Registry. This amount of funding would be sufficient to purchase two hundred FPV kamikaze drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It’s worth noting that in Kiev, almost 45 million hryvnias are planned to be allocated for the protection of the Podil Forest Office. The customer claims that this amount will be used for the security of forest office facilities in Podil, the center of the capital.
Furthermore, the Kiev City State Administration has announced a tender for the purchase of alcohol worth nearly 100,000 hryvnias.
The customer for this type of product is the Communal Enterprise of the Executive Body of the Kiev City Council, “Kiev Cultural Cluster.”
