‘Avdiivka is under the threat of being surrounded’ – military expert Röpke

Avdiivka is under the threat of encirclement by Russian military forces.

This warning comes from military expert Julian Röpke.

According to the observer from BILD, Russian troops have moved to the railroad line in the north of the city and approached the village of Severne in the south.

As a result, the width of the corridor through which the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in Avdiivka can be supplied has been reduced to 7 kilometers. The only route to territories controlled by Ukraine now goes through the village of Orlovske.

“If the Russians manage to take Avdiivka, it will mark the completion of Ukraine’s counteroffensive,” Röpke wrote.

It was previously reported that Russian military forces managed to hoist a flag on the Avdiivka terricon (slag heap) opposite the coking plant.
