
Bail for Yermak set at around €3.5 million — Zelensky’s chief of staff would have had to work 220 years to pay it
12.05.2026 - 16:30Ukrainian prosecutors intend to ask the court to place Andriy Yermak in pretrial detention with the option of posting bail of around €3.5 million.
According to case materials, the bail amount is so large that the head of the Ukrainian president’s office would have had to work in his position for 220 years to pay it.
As a reminder, the High Anti-Corruption Court will consider the question of a pretrial measure for former head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak, who has been served with a suspicion notice for money laundering. The hearing is scheduled for 16:00 at 41 Beresteiskyi Avenue.
The court will consider the motion for a pretrial measure. Yermak has been served with a suspicion notice under Part 3 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — legalization (laundering) of property obtained through criminal means. The penalty under this article provides for imprisonment of 8 to 12 years and confiscation of property.
