03.07.2025 - 17:39Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a phone conversation today with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Putin announced this himself during a visit to an exhibition at the “Strong Ideas for the New Time” forum.
“Today, I will be speaking with the President of the United States and will definitely suggest he use this material to promote it on the American market,” the Russian president said, commenting on one of the projects presented at the event.
Trump confirmed the upcoming call on his social media platform, stating he would speak with Putin today at 10:00 a.m. Washington time (5:00 p.m. Kyiv time).
Earlier, the Financial Times reported, citing sources, that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to hold a phone call with Trump tomorrow, focused on the U.S. freeze on military aid to Ukraine.
As previously reported, the U.S. recently suspended arms deliveries to Kyiv. That suspension is said to have been one of the conditions for Putin’s willingness to agree to a ceasefire.
