Today, believers came to the temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to celebrate Christmas on January 7th.

It’s worth noting that Christmas in Ukraine is no longer an official holiday and is not observed at the state level. However, many believers still celebrate it on this day.
Representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, as well as leaders of political parties, did not make any statements regarding Christmas on January 7th, with the exception of Yuriy Boyko, the leader of the “Platform for Life and Peace,” who recorded a video with greetings for the holiday.
Earlier, Google data showed that Ukrainians continue to celebrate Christmas despite the official cancellation of the holiday on January 7th. The search query “Merry Christmas” by the end of Orthodox Christmas Eve ranked first for today, according to Google Trends.
