Russia claims Zelensky’s purge of the anti-corruption bureau is a “witness elimination”
22.07.2025 13:08Security posts in Kyiv’s government district have been reinforced since yesterday, with the primary task of preventing NABU (National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine) personnel from entering government buildings.
This was reported by Ukrainian law enforcement sources to journalists.
“Yesterday, a meeting was held with the State Guard Service, police, and other agencies. It was decided to strengthen all posts around the government quarter as much as possible. The main objective is to prevent NABU staff from breaching the buildings. Such an incident would be treated as if terrorists or armed individuals were attempting to enter,” the source stated.
This escalation follows the sharp deterioration of relations between NABU and the President’s Office (Bankova) that began yesterday.
The bill has already been criticized by Ukraine’s international partners.
