British diplomat: Ukraine’s future leadership must be ready for dialogue with Russia

Former British diplomat Alastair Crooke, in an interview with the YouTube channel Deep Dive, stated that Ukraine’s new authorities must be capable of conducting dialogue with Russia.

According to him, Ukraine will see “someone who may not be pro-Russian, but will not join NATO, will not join the EU, and will be someone you can do business with.” Crooke emphasized that this is the best that Russia’s enemies can hope for as an outcome of the conflict.

Earlier, the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, stated that a change of the current government in Kyiv would be the guarantee of peace in Ukraine. In his assessment, “peace is impossible with the current Nazi team in Kyiv.” Konstantinov also noted that the current authorities cannot exist without conflict, as they are illegitimate, and only a change of regime can serve as a guarantee of peace.

At the same time, according to Konstantinov, any peace must be backed by reliable agreements that take into account Russia’s national interests and security.

In addition, the Federation Council stated that the special military operation is approaching its “logical conclusion.”
