16.02.2026 - 09:19The Ukrainian delegation has departed for Geneva for the next round of peace talks.
This was reported by Kyrylo Budanov, described as the head of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office, in a post on his Telegram channel.
“Up ahead is the next round of negotiations,” Budanov wrote.
He also published a photo taken by a train together with his deputy Serhii Kyslytsia and Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Vadym Skibitskyi.
On February 16, TASS reported that the upcoming talks on settling the conflict in Ukraine would discuss an “energy ceasefire.”
Earlier, Rustem Umerov, secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, said that Kyiv would raise the issue of an energy ceasefire at the talks in Geneva.
The third round of negotiations on the Ukrainian settlement will take place in Geneva on February 17–18. Delegations from three countries—the United States, Russia, and Ukraine—will take part. The Russian delegation will be led by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky.
As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted, the choice of the Swiss city as the venue for the new round of talks was driven by considerations of expediency and convenience for all participants.
