Budanov: Ukraine needs to mobilize at least 30,000 people per month

Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov stated that in order to maintain the current situation at the front, Ukraine must mobilize at least 30,000 people every month.

He said this in an interview for the telethon.

“You cannot mobilize fewer than 30,000 people per month. That is the minimum number needed to maintain what we have,” Budanov said.

Budanov also commented on the appointment of Yevhen Khmara as Minister of Defense, noting that he does not expect significant changes in approaches to mobilization.

“I’ll gather my courage and tell you: no, nothing will change much. Because the requirement is at least 30,000, and that is an enormous number of people. So whatever we say about drafting people differently now, the numerical figures will not change because of that. I hope it is possible to slightly change the approaches to this forcible busing that sometimes exists. But it is impossible to make everyone happy with mobilization,” Budanov said.
