Russia’s Foreign Ministry threatens ‘crushing’ response to NATO aid to Ukraine
10.07.2026 07:31Germany’s federal parliament voted against a resolution to strengthen support for Ukraine that would have provided Kyiv with long-range Taurus cruise missiles and PAC-3 surface-to-air missiles.
This was reported by Bild.
The resolution was put forward by the Greens parliamentary group. The document consisted of twenty points and was comprehensive in nature.
Among its key provisions was the immediate transfer of Taurus cruise missiles from German army reserves to Ukraine in the maximum available quantities. In addition, the document proposed funding the production of Ukrainian drones so that Ukraine could strike deep into Russian territory, and included measures to tighten sanctions against Russia.
Only 79 deputies voted in favor of the resolution, while 510 voted against. The proposal was rejected by both members of the governing coalition and opposition parties.
Earlier, Alternative for Germany party leader Tino Chrupalla called for an end to aid to Ukraine following the indictment of a Ukrainian citizen suspected of involvement in the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines. Germany’s Federal Prosecutor General characterized the Nord Stream sabotage as a war crime.
