10.07.2026 16:04Denis Shtilerman, head of drone and missile manufacturer Fire Point, has called a ceasefire the worst-case scenario for Ukraine.
According to him, if hostilities stop, the country risks being forgotten by the international community.
“If there is a ceasefire, unfortunately, that is the worst scenario for our state… A ceasefire could be a very big gift for Russia… Any ceasefire — and they will forget about us very quickly,” — Shtilerman said in an interview.
Beyond reputational risks, Shtilerman warned of economic and demographic consequences. In his view, a ceasefire would trigger an outflow of people and capital from the country.
“There will be no money here. The borders will open, and all the men will leave,” — he said.
The day before, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington is no longer setting a timeline for the end of the conflict in Ukraine. The head of the White House stressed that it is impossible to set a specific date for reaching an agreement due to the large number of factors involved.
