28.10.2026 08:32People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People party Maksym Buzhansky, in a video address on his YouTube channel, stated that the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, Olena Ivanovska, is engaged in inciting hatred and directly helping Russia in its propaganda.
This is reported in a publication dated October 27, 2026.
Buzhansky’s statement was a reaction to the language ombudsman’s words that medical professionals may refuse service to Russian-speaking patients. According to the people’s deputy, he had never seen “anything more vile and shameful.”
“This is already some kind of racial theory. This has nothing in common with the protection of the Ukrainian language, this has nothing in common with our Constitution, this has nothing in common with common sense and the European values that everyone declares on our path to the European Union. Doctors do not provide services — doctors save lives, doctors save health. Doctors do this in any language. That is what the Hippocratic oath looks like, of which Ombudsman Ivanovska has not heard in any language,” Buzhansky stated.
He added that Ivanovska is an “infinitely stupid person,” and that what she is doing is inciting hatred.
“And this is no longer Ivanovska’s problem, but the problem of the entire government as a whole. This is a disgrace,” the people’s deputy said.
Buzhansky expressed the conviction that Ivanovska invented the problem of providing assistance to Russian speakers.
Earlier, people’s deputy from the Batkivshchyna party Oleksiy Kucherenko also criticized Ivanovska for demanding that building chats be written only in Ukrainian.
As a reminder, we recently wrote that Ivanovska wrote to Google because the search engine returns results in Russian even for queries in Ukrainian.
