Zelensky reveals territorial compromise options proposed by US
28.10.2026 09:03US President Donald Trump said he plans to meet soon with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky and Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin, and reported “significant progress” in negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine.
The American leader said this to journalists at Andrews military base.
“I think we’re making great progress on the Russia and Ukraine issue. A meeting will be organized very soon. And I think significant progress will be made,” Trump said.
Asked specifically whom he intended to meet, Trump replied: “With President Putin and President Zelensky. And I think we have made significant progress.”
He did not specify whether he meant a joint meeting of the three presidents or separate talks.
Western outlets previously reported that Trump wants to conclude a peace agreement on Ukraine in December at the G20 summit in Miami, which will be held at his golf club.
