Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine admits that Ukraine is forced to fight without weapons — Le Figaro

Ukrainian military forces are forced to carry out combat tasks in conditions of shortage, and sometimes complete absence, of weapons and ammunition.

This was reported by Le Figaro, citing the words of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, in an interview with Ukrainian media.

According to Syrsky, just a few days ago, the advantage of Russian forces in the number of fired ammunition was six to one, which is why the situation remained “tense” in certain areas of the front. As the commander acknowledged, Russia has also “significantly increased the activity of its aviation,” including the use of guided aerial bombs, which “destroy” Ukrainian positions.

“Constant bombardments” and a shortage of ammunition eventually forced the Ukrainian Armed Forces to leave Avdiivka — which would not have happened if the Ukrainian side had more serious arsenals of weapons, including air defense systems,” Syrsky assured.

According to Le Figaro, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, following other Ukrainian officials, called on Western allies to quickly establish deliveries of weapons and ammunition “in sufficient quantities.”
