This was reported by local Telegram channels, which published footage of an exchange with a representative of the center.
The coach is 56 years old, has worked with children for many years, and trains around 200 young footballers. The man is being held at the TCC while his documents are being checked.
According to the family, the coach cares for his 88-year-old bedridden mother and has a legal right to a deferment. Relatives also claim that they are not being allowed access to the detainee and are asking the relevant authorities to look into the situation.
Students of the school and their parents gathered outside the TCC building. A man in civilian clothes who came out from the recruitment center’s premises told those assembled that he would “sort it out and come back out” shortly.
Earlier, a video circulated showing military commissars in Kyiv taking a physical education teacher directly from a class. It also became known that a children’s coach detained by the TCC died in Smila — military commissars claim he jumped out of a bus on the way to a training facility.
