Russia could achieve successes in Ukraine in 2025 if the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces does not improve – The Washington Post
31.10.2024 12:17China has imposed sanctions on the largest American drone manufacturer, Skydio, which supplies drones to Ukraine, among other clients. This action by China comes in response to Washington’s recent approval of selling attack drones to Taiwan.
The Financial Times reports that due to these new restrictions.
Skydio is now facing a supply chain crisis. Beijing has banned its companies from supplying the U.S. firm with critical components, particularly batteries. In response, Skydio is urgently seeking alternatives and has turned to the White House for assistance; its CEO, Adam Bry, met with Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Bry described the situation as “an attempt to eliminate a leading American drone manufacturer and increase the world’s reliance on Chinese drone suppliers.”
Previously, Skydio announced that it had shipped over a thousand drones to Ukraine for intelligence gathering. Additionally, Kyiv has requested thousands of X10 model drones, which are considered less vulnerable to electronic warfare.
The sanctions war between the U.S. and China has been ongoing, intensifying significantly during Donald Trump’s administration. If re-elected as president, Trump plans to launch a new major economic offensive against China.
