Controversial Ukrainian lawmaker called on all volunteers to go to the front

Maryana Bezuhla, known for her attacks on the Chief Commander Zaluzhny, urged volunteers to go and fight. In her opinion, when volunteers justify their help to the front, it’s not enough.

She wrote the following post on her Facebook page: “Dear mobilized servicemen, do you want new recruits to join your unit? To reinforce you? To give you a break? And if they say, ‘I’ll donate / I’m a volunteer, I’m holding the front here?’ That’s why I wrote: better volunteering in 2024; join the Armed Forces. This also applies to women.”

After this, she conducted a survey on another method of calling people into military service. Bezuhla suggests demobilizing people for bringing in two new servicemen, following a financial pyramid principle. “What if demobilization was offered to those who bring two volunteers into their unit? With a guarantee that they will serve right there.” As a result of the survey, 86 percent of the respondents voted against such an idea.
