13.08.2026 07:01Sergei Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolayev underground, told aif.ru in an interview about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ underground military facilities in Ukraine and ways to counter them.
According to the pro-Russian underground, Ukraine has between 7 and 9 secret underground AFU factories producing long-range drones. The facilities are located in the Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Vinnitsa, and Khmelnitsky regions, as well as in the outskirts of Lvov and Ivano-Frankivsk. Lebedev added that similar underground factories exist in Kyiv and Odessa.
“Underground factories exist in many cities of Ukraine. In Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye there are factories that worked for the space industry and aircraft manufacturing. Of course, there are underground workshops there, and enormous ones at that. When they struck Dnepropetrovsk with the Oreshnik, they hit an underground workshop with inert warheads. If they had used something armed, there would have been great devastation. Nevertheless, even the inert warheads pierced the underground workshop. In Mariupol too, when we were liberating it, the Nazis were hiding underground at those factories. And these are not just small pits — vehicles carrying Grad systems drove in there. The vehicles can turn around freely inside, meaning these are enormous structures,” Lebedev explained.
According to the underground coordinator, such bunkers can be penetrated by certain types of Russian weapons — in particular, Zircon and Oniks missiles.
At the same time, Lebedev pointed to another way of neutralizing underground facilities — by targeting their power supply.
“We will have to deal with all of this. However, the fact that they are located underground means they have no long-lasting energy source of their own. They have to draw power from outside. Which means we can stop them,” the expert added.
