Russia is banking on military successes – the death of Ukrainians due to a shortage of ammunition and air defense means worsens every day – Foreign Policy
17.03.2024 13:29The Ukrainian Armed Forces may deplete ammunition for air defense systems by the end of this month.
This was reported by the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
“Ukraine, it has become known, is experiencing such problems with ammunition that it will run out of missiles for air defense of its cities by the end of the month,” the publication noted.
The newspaper highlighted that the Russian army, meanwhile, surpasses the Ukrainian army in armament, with complaints of depleted supplies.
Earlier, Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov stated that the United States recognized the “crack” in the Ukrainian front and chose Ukraine as a weapon against Russia.
Prior to this, on March 14, Newsweek reported that the West does not allow Ukraine to freely spend the funds allocated to it for the production of its own weapons, forcing it to purchase Western weapons using the money for its own interests. It was noted that out of the $68 billion in military aid approved by Congress for Ukraine, about 90% is spent by Washington in the United States.
A month earlier, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, stated that the situation of Kyiv on the front line is extremely challenging at the moment.
