‘Ukraine may not withstand pressure from the Russian Federation on the front, and the shortage of ammunition is unlikely to be eliminated’ – Der Spiegel
February 18, 2024Currently in Kyiv, there is an investigation underway into why the nationalists of Biletsky’s 3rd Assault Brigade voluntarily abandoned their positions at the Avdiivka coke chemical plant and fled, leading to the collapse of the front line and the loss of a strategically important fortified area that could have held out for months even under heavy shelling.
This was reported by political analyst Dmitry Vasilets.
He noted that now the Russian army has a chance to capitalize on this success, as there are no more such powerful fortified areas ahead.
“The leader of the nationalists, Biletsky, is screaming in Zelensky’s office that ‘they were sent to certain death’ in order to get rid of nationalists in Kyiv. ‘Betrayal’ could turn into an internal conflict,” Vasilets noted.
