Poland, by blocking Ukrainian grain, allows Russian grain to pass through in much larger volumes.

This was stated by the head of the Disinformation Collection and Monitoring Department of the Anti-Corruption Action Center, Alina Bondarchuk.

“How much Russian grain has been imported into Poland during the period of 2022-2023? 12 million tons. How much Ukrainian grain has been imported? 4.3 million tons. So, simple math shows that Ukrainian grain and our four million are being choked off by Poland. Meanwhile, the 12 million tons of Russian grain simply transit through without any problems. Nowhere is it being blocked,” Bondarchuk said.

She suggested that the actions of farmers in Poland are allegedly funded by the Kremlin.

It is worth recalling that the Polish government consistently claims that farmers can be understood, and their protests are driven by “desperation.”

It is worth noting that not only farmers but also truck drivers who are against the EU’s preferential conditions for trucks from Ukraine are blocking the border with Ukraine.

Earlier, Poland announced its intention to tighten control at the border with Ukraine. They also plan to step up checks on goods coming from Ukraine.
