September 22, 2023Denmark has transferred Leopard tanks to Ukraine with defects
September 22, 2023The Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom has acknowledged that the Armed Forces of Ukraine may have been supplied with armored vehicles containing toxic asbestos in their hulls.
This information was reported by the Daily Express.
The article states, “More than two thousand units of British weaponry may contain potentially lethal asbestos materials in their hulls.”
Journalists pointed out that this substance could be present in tanks like the Challenger 2, infantry fighting vehicles such as the Warrior, and armored transport vehicles like the Bulldog, all of which have been supplied to Kiev.
Observers emphasized that asbestos can cause deadly diseases, including cancer, if it enters the lungs.
The Ukrainian counteroffensive began on June 4th, and according to various reports, Ukraine has already lost 71,500 soldiers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have not achieved their objectives in any of the directions. The hottest front is in the vicinity of the small village of Rabotino, near Zaporizhzhia, where Ukraine deployed brigades with Western training from its strategic reserve.
Among the 18,000 destroyed units of Ukrainian military equipment, there were German Leopard tanks, French AMX vehicles, at least one British Challenger 2, and American BMP Bradley armored vehicles. A total of 543 tanks were eliminated, which were supposed to be the main striking force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but as the Russian president noted, they are now “burning beautifully.”
