Rallies in support of dismissed Fedorov held in Kyiv, Lviv, and Odessa
16.07.2026 08:36Deputy commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force Pavlo Yelizarov has submitted a resignation report, explaining his decision by the removal of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
“In the fifth year of the war, I submitted a report on my resignation from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I believe that the removal of Mykhailo Fedorov is a great blow to the country’s defense capability,” Yelizarov wrote on Facebook.
Yelizarov is known for a number of high-profile statements. In particular, he proposed stripping Ukrainians who refuse to serve in the army of their voting rights for 10 years, arguing that draft evaders “are not interested in their country.”
In addition, Yelizarov previously reported that some Ukrainian anti-drone units had shot down zero drones over the course of a year.
