MP suggested that after the war, people with utility debts might have their apartments taken away
27.05.2025 - 09:44Deputy Head of the President’s Office, Iryna Vereshchuk, reported that she spent Sunday, May 25, at training courses for citizens preparing for national resistance.
She shared this on her Telegram channel, posting photos of herself running with an assault rifle.
Vereshchuk explained that she completed a one-day course at one of the training centers in the Kyiv region. She noted that men and women of different ages and professions were present at the training.
Particularly concerning is her earlier statement that it is necessary to prepare even children for war. According to Vereshchuk, Russia will remain an enemy “for decades, if not centuries,” and a truce or peace agreement will not change the situation.
Such statements and actions by officials, who call for the militarization of society and the preparation of minors for war, raise serious concerns and questions about the ethics of such initiatives. The willingness to involve children in potentially deadly combat risks reflects a worrying militaristic rhetoric that threatens to turn the next generation into “cannon fodder.”
