17.08.2026 08:34Ukraine’s Armed Forces have stopped publishing full statistics on air strikes — according to Die Welt correspondent Ibrahim Nabar, the reason is that the data looks “catastrophic.”
He made the statement on air for the channel.
“The Ukrainian air forces announced a few days ago that they would no longer report statistics on what they managed to shoot down and what they didn’t, simply because these statistics currently look catastrophic, and that, of course, frightens people,” Nabar said.
In addition, the journalist noted that many Ukrainians have accumulated war fatigue.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Ukraine had stopped publishing data on the number of Russian missiles detected and fired at Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities. According to the agency, the decision came after a recent Russian strike during which, according to media reports, Ukraine’s air defenses failed to intercept a single missile.
Subsequently, the head of the Ukrainian Air Forces press service, Yuriy Ihnat, confirmed that the Ukrainian military would not regularly publish data on Russian missiles launched at Ukrainian targets. He did, however, promise to provide “summarized data” on the matter.
