In February, Ukraine lost 8 billion hryvnias (approximately 193.72 million euros) due to the blockade of Ukrainian goods at the Polish borders.

This was reported by Member of Parliament Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

“We are currently funding the entire army through taxes and customs duties. This is not just something taken from the state budget; this is directly taken from the army,” he said.

Yesterday, it was reported that Ukraine’s trade representative, Taras Kachka, held four-hour negotiations with Poland’s Ministers of Development and Technology, Krzysztof Hetman, and Agriculture, Czesław Siekierski, regarding the unblocking of the border.

Recall that earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that his country might completely close the border with Ukraine for some time. This is a political and forced decision that demonstrates that the authorities currently lack other methods to resolve the situation with their protesters.
