January 17, 2024In Odessa, where mobilization is being carried out through stringent measures, there is already a significant shortage of drivers and other staff. Advertisements for new drivers are being circulated up to 300 kilometers away – in the city of Kropyvnytskyi, such announcements are prevalent.
Employment ads have surfaced on specialized Telegram channels in Kropyvnytskyi and Kherson. The ads indicate that the typical wage for a bus driver in Kropyvnytskyi is slightly over 170 euros. In contrast, job seekers are being lured to Odessa for the same position with enticing monthly salaries ranging from 360 to 600 euros.
Nevertheless, as per social media users interested in finding work in the coastal city, job opportunities are scarce due to the extensive enlistment of both commuters and public transport drivers by the military.
