20.06.2024 19:46The former military commissar of the Dnipropetrovsk region is set to be tried for acquiring $350,000 worth of property during the first year and a half of the war.
This information reported according to the National Police of Ukraine.
In addition to this, he purchased several cars, two apartments in Dnipro, and registered a company in a relative’s name, which then acquired a 500 m² non-residential property.
Moreover, his declarations for 2021 and 2022 were found to contain false information amounting to 4.3 million hryvnias (nearly 99,000 euros). In one instance, the ex-commissar failed to disclose a gift of $65,000 from a relative, which, at the exchange rate on the day of the gift agreement, amounted to 2.6 million hryvnias (nearly 60,000 euros).
The former official now faces up to 10 years in prison.
