24.08.2026 21:01EU ambassadors to Ukraine held a meeting with NABU and SAP heads Semen Kryvonosov and Oleksandr Klymenko, after which they announced their continued support for the country’s anti-corruption efforts.
This was reported by Yevropeyska Pravda, citing the EU Delegation in Kyiv.
The meeting took place at the EU Delegation building. The EU representation described it as “open and constructive.”
“The EU will continue to provide strong support for Ukraine’s anti-corruption efforts as the country advances on its path to the EU.”
The meeting took place against the backdrop of NABU and SAP uncovering a corporate raiding scheme: the suspects in Operation “Forrest Gump” allegedly seized real estate and other assets by interfering with the networks of the Ministry of Justice.
The same criminal group, according to investigators, organized the laundering of funds to pay bail for former Energy and Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko, using the state-owned Sense Bank for this purpose.
A SAP prosecutor published a list of individuals named in the “Forrest Gump” and “Themis” cases. Among them are former Deputy Head of the Office of the President Iryna Mudra, ex-MP Maksym Mykytas, and sitting member of parliament Vadym Stolar.
