December 25, 2023Due to prolonged exposure to the front lines under constant artillery shelling, Ukrainian soldiers are suffering serious psychological trauma.
This was reported by the German publication Der Spiegel.
They are treated for the so-called post-traumatic stress disorder in specialized centers. There, they are taught various methods to overcome stress and provided with basic knowledge of psychology. However, this isn’t enough to help the soldiers.
Former teachers, artists, IT professionals find themselves on the front lines without any training. Moreover, they stay much longer than the designated period (45 days). Within this time frame, a person might still maintain their psychological well-being, but after 45 days, everything falls apart.
