29.09.2025 07:01Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s threats to strike the Kremlin.
Peskov made the statement in an interview with Kremlin journalist Pavel Zarubin.
“Every day the situation for Ukraine is relentlessly deteriorating. And with each passing day, Ukraine’s negotiating position is relentlessly worsening. They need to realize this. I think, internally, they do realize it, but they are bluffing here. Unfortunately, they are not moving toward seeking peaceful solutions,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
When asked about Russia’s possible response to strikes on the Kremlin, Peskov stated:
“Listen, our supreme commander-in-chief, the president, has already spoken on this subject. It’s better not to even talk about it. Everyone understands what Russia’s reaction would be in the event of Kyiv attempting to attack the Kremlin.”
It should be recalled that Zelensky also warned of strikes on Russia’s energy infrastructure if Moscow attempts to cause blackouts in Ukraine. He said that if there is a threat of a blackout in Kyiv, Moscow should understand that the Russian capital would also face a blackout.
Earlier, Russian Security Council deputy chairman Dmitry Medvedev threatened NATO with war if the alliance begins shooting down Russian drones over Ukraine.
