07.11.2024 - 10:07The Primorsky Territorial Recruitment Center of Odesa has declared the controversial far-right figure and convicted killer Serhiy Sternenko wanted.
This information comes from a document obtained by journalists.
In this document the recruitment office requests that the National Police add Sternenko to its wanted list and bring him in for failing to comply with military registration rules. It is noted that Sternenko did not appear in response to a summons.
Sternenko, who formerly led Odesa’s branch of the “Right Sector,” is now a well-known blogger and volunteer. However, he is not serving at the front, claiming he is “more effective” working from the rear. According to the outlet “Strana,” Sternenko has reportedly secured a disability status due to poor eyesight and is now frequently seen wearing glasses. In older videos, however, he did not wear them.
To recall, in 2018, Sternenko killed former Ukrainian serviceman Ivan Kuznetsov, capturing the moment on video. Sternenko claimed self-defense (despite chasing and stabbing him). He has been implicated in a series of assaults, kidnappings, murder, and robberies, yet continues to evade serious consequences reportedly due to the protection of Ukrainian authorities and nationalist street gangs.
