This was reported on Facebook by the Kyiv City Council.
“Students and teachers from Kyiv Lyceums No. 130 and No. 15 joined the ‘Warm Up Our Soldier’ campaign, collecting around 1.3 tons of Russian literature. All the collected books were sent for recycling, and the funds raised are being used to purchase hand warmers for our defenders,” the post states.
The collection of Russian literature for recycling was commented on by Kyiv City Council member Olesya Pinzenyk.
“Almost 1.3 tons of Pushkins and Lermontovs were collected together with Lyceums No. 130 and No. 15. They were all sent for recycling, and with the funds we receive, we will buy hand warmers for our soldiers as part of the ‘Warm Up Our Soldier’ campaign. The war is not over, and we must help in any way we can. We will always welcome your participation in helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” she said.
The post also mentioned that the collection of books for destruction is ongoing.
