In Ukraine, even those completely unfit for service are no longer being removed from military registration

Since October, Ukraine has stopped removing even those who are completely unfit for military service from the military registry.

This was reported by military lawyer Daria Holodnyak.

The corresponding order was issued by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Previously, the category “unfit for service with removal from the military registry” allowed seriously ill individuals to be completely removed from the registry. Now, this status has been abolished and is simply referred to as “Unfit for service,” without the provision for removal from the registry.

According to this order, the overall duration of medical examinations should not exceed four days. If a draftee requires additional tests to clarify their health condition, the period may be extended by no more than 14 days.

Earlier, Member of Parliament Bohdan Kytsak spoke about the imminent loss of the majority of Ukrainians’ exemptions from mobilization. According to him, many employees of companies will not meet the criteria introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers, which states that they must be employed at the enterprise by May 18, 2024.
