23.04.2024 - 18:50For the third consecutive year, there will be no official beach season in Kiev due to safety concerns, as reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
People are urged to refrain from visiting beaches and recreational areas to avoid large gatherings, as this would complicate access to shelters and refuges in the event of an air raid. Additionally, specialists will be engaged in seasonal work aimed at maintaining cleanliness and sanitation on beaches and recreational areas. This includes servicing engineering systems, conducting clean-ups and sanitary treatments of territories, along with other necessary measures.

It’s worth noting that last year’s officially closed beach season did not prevent residents of the capital from swimming and relaxing en masse.
The Kyiv City State Administration also announced that swimming on boats, yachts and water scooters is prohibited in Kiev until the end of the war.
