13.10.2026 15:06The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has handed down a verdict against former adviser to the Office of the President and head of an SBU department Artem Shylo in a case involving embezzlement at Ukrzaliznytsia, approving his plea agreement with a SAPO prosecutor.
This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Action Center.
Shylo fully admitted his guilt and agreed to cooperate with the prosecution: to expose other SBU employees and provide information about a criminal offense known to him that is being investigated by NABU.
Under the agreement, the court sentenced him to a three-year suspended sentence, a ban on holding certain positions for three years, and a fine of approximately EUR 4.1 million. In addition, Shylo is required to compensate damages of approximately EUR 1.2 million and transfer approximately EUR 1.6 million to the Come Back Alive foundation. The agreement also provides for the confiscation of three of his apartments in the Novopecherski Lypky residential complex and 325.7 million hryvnias.
According to investigators, Shylo organized a scheme involving the procurement of cables and transformers for Ukrzaliznytsia at inflated prices, causing the company losses of approximately EUR 4.8 million.
In April 2024, the court ordered his arrest with the option of bail. At that time, Shylo paid the bail and was released.
