29.10.2025 05:03This evening, former Odesa mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov was served a notice of suspicion right in the parking lot of the Ark Spa resort complex. Two of his deputies also received similar notices.
This was reported by local media outlets and social channels.
According to reports, the suspicion was issued under Article 367, Part 3 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code — official negligence resulting in the death of a person.
“According to sources, on the evening of October 28, Trukhanov and seven of his subordinates were served notices of suspicion due to their failure to take action before, during, and after the water-related tragedy in Odesa. They were also presented with motions to apply preventive measures,” Ukrainian publications report.

The case concerns failure to act during the flood that hit Odesa on September 30, when at least ten people were killeddue to severe weather.
Currently, searches are being conducted at city hall offices, and a court hearing to determine preventive measures is expected tomorrow.

Earlier reports stated that Trukhanov, who has been stripped of Ukrainian citizenship, was already facing a new criminal suspicion related to economic crimes.
