The latest Ukrainian offensive operation near Kherson has ultimately failed with huge losses
January 2, 2024France’s approach to supporting Ukraine will change, as Paris intends to focus on manufacturing weapons within Ukrainian territory, announced the Republic’s ambassador to Kyiv, Gaël Vessier, in an interview with the France Info channel.
The diplomat mentioned that ‘some time will be needed to transition from one strategy to another.’ Vessier pointed out that the advocate for changing the aid format to Ukraine is the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna, who intends to visit Kyiv in the near future.
It’s worth noting that Ukraine is currently experiencing a serious shortage of both arms and ammunition. Europe cannot provide new supplies because its own reserves have been depleted. However, any arms production within Ukraine is consistently targeted by Russian missile attacks, making it extremely challenging to establish a continuous output of weaponry.
