Ukrainian MP Skorokhod accuses Drapatyi and Skibyuk of trading command positions
20.08.2026 11:03Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigations has launched a large-scale special inspection operation in the military sphere under the code name “Justice for Fighters.”
This is reported by Ukrainska Pravda, citing a source in law enforcement and a comment from the GBI itself.
According to the publication’s source, the operation is focused on “ghost soldiers” in military units, illegal payments, the use of servicemembers as free labor, and corruption.
“As part of the operation codenamed ‘Justice for Fighters,’ more than 70 searches are planned in military units in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Zhytomyr regions. More than two dozen suspects could receive notices of suspicion as early as today,” a source in law enforcement told Ukrainska Pravda.
The GBI press service promised to provide details later. The bureau clarified that the measures are being carried out in close coordination with the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Staff and are aimed at “maximally minimizing negative manifestations in military units.”
