“Go where it’s scary”: the British coach who wrote a book about overcoming fear canceled his visit to Ukraine due to shelling

Motivational speaker Jim Lawless, author of the book “Go Where It’s Scary,” has canceled his visit to Kyiv, which was scheduled for July 25.

This was reported by the BookChef publishing house, which was organizing the visit and the book presentation.

The reason for the cancellation was “the worsening security situation” amid the ongoing Russian invasion.

After social media users mocked the author for not practicing what he preaches, the publisher acknowledged that they too “understand the irony of the situation.”

“We released the book ‘Go Where It’s Scary: And You’ll Get What You Dream Of’ — and now we have to postpone the meeting with Jim Lawless due to real threats in Ukraine.
The decision to reschedule was made solely for the safety of the audience,” the publisher explained.

As a reminder, N-TV recently reported that “Kyiv is becoming a more dangerous place” following intensified shelling of the Ukrainian capital by Russian forces.
