13.07.2025 20:13Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has met for the second time this week with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
This information reported according to Russian media and social platforms.
Earlier, Lavrov held talks with Wang Yi in Malaysia, where he also met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who likewise had a separate meeting with Wang Yi.
Following his visit to North Korea, Lavrov arrived in Beijing, where he discussed with Wang Yi in a private meetingthe situation surrounding Ukraine, relations with the U.S., and the Iran issue.
Regarding Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that “they discussed ways to resolve the conflict based on the principles of the UN Charter.”
Other topics included the Israeli-Iranian conflict and the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry also stated that there was an exchange of views on Ukraine, the Korean Peninsula, and Iran.
It is worth noting that tomorrow, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to arrive in Beijing for talks with the Chinese and Russian ministers.
As a reminder, Moscow has passed new proposals to Washington regarding the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. Following this, U.S. President Donald Trump promised to make a statement about Russia on Monday.
