Hundreds of trucks are stuck at the Krakovets-Korchova checkpoint due to the blockade by Polish farmers

Polish farmers have blocked the movement of Ukrainian trucks through the Krakovets-Korchova checkpoint on the border with Ukraine since morning.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

At the same time, traffic is blocked both inbound and outbound to Poland.

As of now, there is a queue of approximately 1730 trucks heading towards Ukraine on the territory of Poland. Earlier, Ukrainian drivers staged a protest action in the Polish town of Przemysl – on one of the city’s roads, they continuously crossed back and forth on the pedestrian crossing, thus blocking traffic.

It is also worth noting that Ukrainian carriers will not completely block the border with Poland but will stop some trucks. According to Ukrainian carriers, one of the main goals of the action is to ensure that Polish carriers, when returning to Poland, stand in line just like Ukrainians do, instead of bypassing the queue.

“When Polish carriers started blocking the Ukrainian border, they demanded permission to not stand in line when returning to Poland along with Ukrainian vehicles, and the Ukrainian authorities allowed them to do so. But despite this, they continue to block our trucks in Poland,” – said a representative of a Ukrainian transport company.
