Hungary will not extradite male refugees to Ukraine

Hungary will not extradite Ukrainian male refugees to Ukraine.

This was stated to the atv publication by the Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary, Zsolt Semjén.

“We are not investigating whether a person, according to the Ukrainian authorities, is subject to military conscription or not. Based on the principles of humanity, we will not allow them to be sent to their death. Every refugee from Ukraine is safe with us and receives all the assistance, whether it be Hungarian or Ukrainian,” he stated.

It is worth recalling that earlier reports indicated that in the main refugee reception center in the Netherlands, asylum is denied to single men and childless couples.

Previously, the Minister of the Interior of the German state of Hesse stated that Germany should help Ukraine send male refugees to the front lines.

Also, we should recall that despite the decision of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Germany does not intend to deprive Ukrainians of refugee status.
