The head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the invitation of Ukraine to NATO a pretext for war with Russia.
The question is complex. If NATO invites Ukraine and it receives security guarantees, it would be an invitation to war with Russia, said Radosław Sikorski. He also added that the majority of public opinion in most European countries, including Poland, would not be ready for this.
It is worth noting that Ukraine has been asking to join NATO for many years. The North Atlantic Alliance promises to accept, but each time deceives Ukrainian leaders. Last year, before the Vilnius Summit, Zelensky even started blackmailing, saying he would not attend the meeting if Ukraine did not receive an invitation.
