“If you want to fight to the last, join us”: a Ukrainian soldier criticized civilians who oppose peace

A Ukrainian soldier has voiced criticism of polls conducted among civilians who claim that no territory should be ceded in exchange for peace.

A video with his opinion was shared on TikTok.

According to the soldier, none of the people participating in such polls are on the front lines. He argued that surveys should be conducted among soldiers actively fighting on the front lines, not among civilians.

“If you want to fight to the last person—join us. If not, it’s not your decision to make,” the soldier stated.

He added that if soldiers were given a choice, most would surrender their equipment and return home.

“We’re already exhausted from fighting purely on moral and willpower,” he said.

The video has garnered 1.3 million views on TikTok.

In November, media outlets reported on the opinions of Ukrainian soldiers who expressed concern about potential breaches on the front lines and emphasized the need to end the war through negotiations.
