September 5, 2024The German publication Deutsche Welle released a report about a young man hiding from mobilization in Ukraine.
A segment of the interview with the draft dodger spread across Ukrainian Telegram channels.
In the short video, 29-year-old Artem (a pseudonym) explains why he is afraid to fight.
“If I had enough courage and strength, I would probably do it (join the army). Since childhood, I’ve been very calm, never in conflict with anyone. I’m scared to be a soldier. I could be killed, or I might have to kill someone else. I don’t know how to live with that,” he explains.
Due to the fear of mobilization, Artem works from home and hardly ever goes outside.
Earlier, the patriotic songwriter Antin Mukharsky admitted that he is afraid of going to the front.
“I’m scared, I’m terrified. I’m a military orchestra musician, and when something explodes nearby, I just collapse… Yes, I’m scared,” Mukharsky confessed from abroad.
Additionally, Yevhen Koshevoi, a bald friend of Zelensky from “Kvartal 95,” explained why he is not planning to go to the front.
“I thought about it… I have no skills, nothing… So, I go to the front. On the first day, a sniper catches me and shoots… And how did I help the country? In no way. The only thing that will happen is that haters will hype this and say, ‘Thank God he’s dead!’ No, I’m not planning to go yet,” Koshevoi said.
