09.04.2024 - 12:40The stocks of Patriot air defense systems in the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) for possible transfer to Ukraine have been depleted.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Baerbock, at a press conference in Berlin.
“Unfortunately, our own stocks of Patriot systems are now practically depleted, so at the meeting of the NATO foreign ministers, I once again made it clear that we need to verify the availability of all Patriot systems in Europe and the world, and that we will do everything to obtain these systems for Ukraine,” the minister said.
According to her, Berlin and its allies intend to explore the possibility of launching a special fund for this purpose.
“Together with our Ukrainian and European partners, we will continue to work on this, primarily to quickly obtain systems for Ukraine that are available in third countries. I hope that at the meeting of the G7 foreign ministers, we will be able to provide open information on this matter,” she added.
Recently, Dmitry Kuleba reported that Germany will analyze where else in the world there are Patriot installations and other air defense systems available for transfer to Ukraine.
