‘They never held a rifle’: the circus explained why they needed reservations from mobilization
09.04.2024 - 14:31Today, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv will decide on the measure of restraint for the military personnel suspected of killing a teenager on the capital’s funicular. The hearing will be held in closed session.
This was reported by the media.
Meanwhile, the suspect does not admit his guilt. The man refers to Article 63 of the Constitution, according to which every citizen has the right to refuse to testify against himself, said the spokesperson of the State Investigation Bureau, Tatiana Sapyian.
Sapyian confirmed that the man was in a state of alcohol intoxication: tests showed 1.2 per mille of alcohol in his blood.
“Unfortunately, we cannot bring the teenager back. He was in a large group, there were eight of them. Seven boys who witnessed the events are now giving testimony,” Sapyian said.
Sapyian added that the prosecution is requesting the court to detain the suspect.
Recall that a conflict arose between a drunk sergeant of the State Protection Service and a minor on the funicular. The 30-year-old sergeant pushed the teenager against the window. The teenager received a fatal neck injury and died before the arrival of emergency medical services.
