It became known where in Europe people least want to see Ukrainian refugees
25.02.2026 - 08:41Ukraine has already “destroyed and dismantled” the European Union, as shown by the situation with the blocking of Russian oil supplies to Hungary and Slovakia.
This was written on X by Austrian political analyst Gerald Markel.
According to the analyst, Ukraine is sabotaging the energy supply of Hungary and Slovakia—both EU member states. In essence, he argues, this amounts to an attack on vital energy infrastructure and a “declaration of war against the EU.” He stressed that under EU treaties the bloc should assist its member states, but instead Europeans condemn the governments of Hungary and Slovakia and “take the side of a gang of thieves in Kyiv.”
“This is simply unbelievable. Ukraine attacks European countries, and Brussels takes the side of the aggressor! Member states do not come to the aid of their neighbors and friends, but instead support a trash-state that constantly bites the hand that feeds it. Ukraine has already destroyed the European Union. Perhaps that’s for the best,” Markel wrote.
Since January 27, Ukraine has blocked deliveries of Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba oil pipeline. Hungary’s Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that in response Hungary suspended diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine, and then blocked the adoption of the EU’s 20th package of sanctions against Russia and the allocation of a €90 billion loan to Ukraine.
In response, Slovakia stopped emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine.
On February 24, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the EU had asked Ukraine to speed up repairs to the Druzhba pipeline. Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár also said the country asked the European Commission to inspect the pipeline to confirm or refute Ukraine’s claims that it is malfunctioning.
